We Remember

Bullock, Douglas David

March 9, 1937 — January 26, 2012

Born March 9, 1937 in Edmonton, AB, passed away in West Kelowna with his family at his side on January 26, 2012.  Survived by his “ever lovin” wife of 54 years, Judy, daughters Roxanne and Renee (John); five grandchildren: Christian (Miranda), Ashley, Kayla, Katelyn and Jaryd, five great grandchildren: Julian, Ayden, Olivia, Devin and Darien, his siblings: Anita (Marinus), Eltie (Duke), Milton (Marilyn) , Kenny (Arlene), Akawashi (Marja), Ron (Laurie), Bill (Dorothy) and Linda (Marg), brother in-law and best friend Doug (Karen) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug grew up in Welling, AB, joined the RCAF in 1954, and then married his childhood sweetheart, Judy, in July of ’57.  He served as the recreation specialist with the RCAF at several bases across Canada and Germany.  After he retired from the service he spent 8 years in real estate in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan.  In 1987, he and Judy moved to Sicamous, BC where they retired at their home on the Shuswap Lake.  His last years were spent helping his brother-in-law, Doug; in the development of Doug and Karen’s property at Shuswap Falls RV Park.  This became a very special place to him for which he was very proud.  Therefore, we have decided to honour his memory with a “Celebration of Life” at Shuswap Falls at a time later to be determined.  He will be dearly missed.

In his memory if desired a donation can be made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2221 Yonge Street, Suite 601, Toronto, ON, M4S 2B4 or by visiting www.cysticfibrosis.ca .
