BULYCH, Olga

September 23, 1927 — April 14, 2024

On April 14, 2024, Olga Bulych passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 96.

Olga is survived by her daughter, Sherrill Folk (née Bulych) husband Barry Folk, grandchildren, Christion Folk, Mason Bulych, Mackenzie Bulych, Nicolette Roether (née Folk) husband Markus Roether, Damon Weigl, Carol Dugalo.  She was predeceased by her husband, Nick Bulych and both of their sons, Larry Bulych and Terry Bulych. Sisters Helen Elyinucke, Ella Bulych, Ann Haskewich, Pearl Pidhorodetsky and Brother John Dugalo.

Amidst the golden fields and vast skies of Saskatchewan, Olga came into the world, cradled in the love of her dear late parents, Maria and Steve Dugalo, on September 23, 1927.

In the fullness of time, fate guided Olga’s steps to cross paths with her beloved, Nick, a meeting that blossomed into a union of hearts and souls. For five decades, their love stood weathering life’s storms with unwavering commitment and affection. Blessed with the gift of motherhood, Olga nurtured and cherished three precious souls, each a receiving her boundless love. Through laughter and tears, triumphs and challenges, she guided them with a steady hand and a tender touch.

Olga was an upstanding member of her community, serving at the hospital.

In the twilight of her years, surrounded by the warmth of her beloved kin, Olga’s presence radiated joy and warmth on them. With each embrace and every shared moment, she imparted a love that would endure for generations to come, a life well lived, and a heart filled with boundless kindness.

Memorial donations to honour Olga may be sent to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

A Funeral Service will be held on MONDAY, APRIL 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM (PDT) at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME: 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment will take place after the service at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery: 2850 Dry Valley Rd, Kelowna, BC.

    Sherrill & Family. Sorry to hear of Olga’s passing. We lived on Sherwood Drive in Regina across the street from Nick and Olga. Always looked forward to their Christmas decorations and the visits we had with them. Olga had a long and fulfilling life. Please accept our condolences.
