We Remember

BURIAN, Alice Theresa (née Koenig)
December 19, 1942 — October 13, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice on October 13, 2024 at the age of 81.
Alice was born in Kelowna, BC on December 19, 1942. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Karl; son Kevin (Maureen); daughter Sherri (Tom); son-in-law Greg; 6 grandchildren, Michael (Priya), Danny, Corey (Katie), Kayla (Brody), Brandon, and Blake (Kara); as well as three great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Lexi and Kenzie. Alice was predeceased by her daughter Susan (d. 2019); her mother Margaret; her father Victor; brothers, Joe, Matt, George, Alex, Vic, Jake, and Robert; and her sister Margaret.
Alice raised her family in Kelowna while working in the dental field for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed travelling to Hawaii and Australia and spent her retirement winters in Arizona, where she will be missed by many “Yuma” friends.
Alice will always be remembered for the twinkle in her eye and her beautiful smile. Her smile or laugh would light up the room.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Spring Valley Care Centre Vintage Wing for the exceptional care and attention given to Alice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Alice to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
A Memorial Service, will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM (PDT), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.
