We Remember
BURTON, Kathleen “Kay”
May 6, 1923 — November 5, 2021
Kay passed away unexpectedly at the age of 98 on November 5, 2021.
Born May 6, 1923, Kay was raised, and spent her early life, in Vancouver, BC. As time went on, Vancouver is also where she met William Burton, the love of her life. Kay and William were married; and then William had to go to war. During the time while he was away, Kay moved to Princeton, BC, to live with William’s parents.
Kay was a stay-at-home mom. She was very passionate about Bingo. She was known for being stubborn, humorous, spunky, and opinionated, balanced with being a private woman.
Kay is survived by her daughters Carol, Sharon, & Cathy and son Glen; her 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well as her many extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William; her son William; grandson Jason; and great-grandson Brandon.
The family would like to thank Elaine, Spring Valley Care Home, and Kay’s family members for the care and love provided in her time of need.
