We Remember

CAMERON, Patricia

October 22, 1952 — October 22, 2023

In loving memory of Patricia Cameron, who made the Okanagan Valley her home since 1989. At the age of 71, she passed away on October 22, 2023, while she was surrounded by family and love. Patricia was a woman who truly loved life. Her passion for gardening allowed her to nurture the beauty of the world around her, while her adventurous spirit led her to explore far-off places, creating lasting memories along the way.

Above all, Patricia was a caring soul, known for her unwavering selflessness. She consistently put others ahead of herself, always ready to offer a helping hand and a kind word. Patricia was the steadfast backbone of her family, providing support, love, and guidance.

Patricia’s memory will forever shine of love, kindness, and generosity to all who were fortunate enough to meet her.

Her pain is no more, and Patricia will be kept in the thoughts and hearts of her family: her loving husband of 17 years, Victor Hakanson; her children, who she is so proud of, Sean (Melanie) and Eric; her stepchildren, who she loves dearly, Kristen, Kyle, Mattis, Sabastion, Carter, and Conner (and their families); her grandchildren, the light of her life, Emily and Aurora; and, of course her dear brother, Scott.  She has gone on to join her sister, mother, father, and stepmother, all who passed away before her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Thinking of you Victor, and the families on Pat’s passing. She always thought of others and always worked hard in anything she did. Always the perfect hostess and always put a lot of thought into everything she did . She taught me a lot as she was struggling with her health and was doing her life these past months as gracefully and with so much incredible courage . I have so much love♥️ and admiration for you my friend and will always love and miss our conversations . May God bless you forever . – sincerely your friend Theota T.
