We Remember
CAMPBELL, Joan G.
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
If we could, we would write this in all CAPS, as this was her typing style we could never change. Stubborn, funny, warm and a devoted dog lover, Joan Purvis Campbell (nee Gordon) passed peacefully away on April 23, 2018. Joan was born in Montreal in 1930 and always called Westmount her hometown. Holidays spent in Ste. Agathe cemented friendships which lasted her whole life and introduced her to our father, John Fraser Campbell, who passed too soon in 2010 after 51 years of marriage. Joan was proud of the family legacy they created together. She lived a rich, full life, moving to New York, Calgary, Victoria and Kelowna. With her warm smile, soft touch, receptive ear and biting wit, Joan made friends easily. She was a fantastic and proud Mother and Grandmother and supported us all whole heartedly. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her children Fraser (Barbara), Gordon (Melissa), Deirdre, and her grandchildren McKenzie, McGregor, Cooper, Haley and Summer. In lieu of donations, Joan would want you to hug your family and your furry friends.
WE MISS YOU GRANNY XOXOXO

Dear Deidre, Fraser and Gordon, I was so sad to read of your Mothers death. She was my sisters best friend, Jill Foster and, therefore, had to tolerate me! I was two years younger than they were, and was always called “baby sister” by her. I treasured her friendship and will miss her. With deepest sympathy to you all
Fondly “baby sister” aka Joan
Fraser, Gordon, and Deirdre, I remember your mother very well from Ste. Agathe. I send condolences on behalf of my family. I have distinct memories of my mother Linda Tremble spending long afternoons on your dock with your mother! I remember her as a warm-hearted person who adored you all.
Dear Campbell family,
Very sad to know that my long time friend from age 9 has passed away. We were very close friends of both John and Joan having introduced them! Love to you all, thinking of you in this sad time. Love Nancy
Dear Fraz, Gord and Deirdre,
So sorry about your mum. She was ready to go she told me! A great life and she hated living in pain. Always so positive and fun! I am so very grateful that I saw her last month. Your family has always been very important to me. Thinking of you and wishing you all the very best. Big hugs and love. 💕💜💗

So sorry to hear about your Mum’’s passing. I worked at Mission Villas and would take my dog Kona in to visit Joan and she always had treats ready! . She was such a lovely lady, so funny and so easy to talk to. I loved taking breakfast or supper to her and having a visit, I’d always plan to spend extra time with her and we’d chat about dogs or TV series we’ve watched:-) She will be dearly missed, such a special lady.
Love Nikki xx
