We Remember
CAMPBELL, Randolph Rae
October 22, 1958 — June 23, 2026
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, on October 22, 1958, Randy Campbell passed away at his home in Kelowna, British Columbia, on June 23, 2026, at the age of 67.
Randy lived by a simple conviction: if something was worth having, it was worth keeping. He was a man of uncommon skill, determination, and resourcefulness.
Randy spent his career as a roofer, metal fabricator, and aircraft structural technician. Known for his strong work ethic and skilled hands, he took pride in doing things properly and earned the respect of coworkers throughout Alberta and British Columbia.
At home, nothing gathered dust for long. Randy had no patience for giving up on something that could still be made to work, and that stubbornness (the good kind, the kind that gets things done) was as much a part of him as the calluses on his hands.
Come summer, Randy would load up his old Ford truck with the camper, hook up the boat and dirt bikes, and head out with his family to enjoy the great outdoors. Those trips were where he was happiest. Whether camping under the open sky, fishing on a quiet lake, enjoying being on the water in his ski boat, riding trails, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Randy found joy in the freedom, adventure, and togetherness that came with life outdoors.
What those closest to him will remember most, though, is harder to put in a toolbox. Randy was grateful – genuinely, quietly grateful – and he had a habit of turning a conversation on its head before you knew it. “How are you?” you would ask. His reply was, “How are YOU?” and he meant it. He carried his own aches and pains without complaint but was always willing to listen when someone else needed to talk.
Randy leaves behind loved ones who will forever feel the space his presence once filled: his wife, Cheryl, and her children; his children, Alysha (Brandon) and Colton (Kirsten); grandchildren Declin, Barrett, Amber, and Miller; sister Robin (Tim) Light and nephew Ashton and niece Brittany; sister Brenda (Doug) Klassen and nephews Cody, Tyler, and Nathan; as well as many other extended family members and friends whom Randy loved.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gary Rosenau and Georgina Campbell, and his grandparents, George and Elizabeth Campbell.
Family and friends will honour Randy, each in their own way; no formal service will be held.
Forever remembered and dearly missed.
