CARDINAL, Norman
August 2, 1963 — December 5, 2021
Born to Margaret Gladue & Joseph Cardinal on August 2, 1963, in Grande Prairie, AB, Norman Cardinal passed away on December 5, 2021, in Kelowna, BC, after battling a sudden diagnosis of bone marrow cancer. He was 58 years of age.
In 2005, Norman met Ellen Rosemary Odell in Burnaby, BC, and they were soon married. Norman & Ellen raised a loving family of four children, Lorina, David, Jonathan & Carleen. They in turn became grandparents to five grandchildren Alyssa, Marlon, Angus, Rivyn & Talia.
Raising & caring for his dogs was a favourite pastime of Norman’s; he really enjoyed taking them on long walks up Southridge Hills. He was fond of nature and all wild animals, as well as feeding the neighbourhood birds.
Norman was predeceased by his parents and his sister Eadie. He is survived by his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and sisters Shirley Cardinal and Joyce Henderson. He will be deeply missed by them and by his many friends.
In memory of Norman, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA.
A Funeral Service will be held on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2021, AT 1:00 PM, at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, with Norman Bonk officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Rd, Kelowna, BC.

Our heart goes out to Norm’s family! When we read of Norm’s passing we shed some tears because he was a beautiful person that was impactful on your life. We knew Norm from his days on South Crest and of course Costco. He was a bright light and always made your day better when you saw him. We will miss him and are so blessed that he crossed our path in life. We will miss his smile and sense of humour.
