With deep sadness, we bid farewell to Sean Cavanagh, 37, who died on December 2, 2023, a devoted servant to his faith and the Kelowna community. His vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication left a lasting impact on those around him.
Sean leaves behind his mother, Monica Haydak, father James Cavanagh, and his siblings, Alexis Cavanagh, Keith Cavanagh, and Kylan Cavanagh.
A proud Kelowna resident, Sean actively engaged in local initiatives, fostering unity and camaraderie through tireless volunteering. Known for his warm heart and selflessness, he formed meaningful connections wherever he went, whether laughing by Okanagan Lake or supporting neighbours in need.
His journey exemplified resilience, facing challenges with grace and emerging stronger. Sean’s steadfast faith as a Christian soldier guided his actions, finding inspiration within the teachings of the Bible.
Despite many obstacles, Sean’s life was a testament to the triumph of the human spirit. His commitment to love, service, and perseverance will forever echo in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
The Cavanagh family extends heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support during this difficult time. Sean’s memory lives on in cherished moments and the profound impact he made.

A Memorial Service will be held this SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with Joel Feddersen officiating, at Metro Community, 1262 St Paul Street, Kelowna, BC. A reception will follow.

To all of Sean’s Families and Friends. I didn’t know Sean but my Deepest Condolences to all, gone far too young. After reading the Obit, Sean left a legacy, of kindness, love and caring. May you all Love and Cherish his Beautiful memories, and knowing his Spirits will be always with you. To lose a Child is the worst death a parent can go through, knowing only to well after losing both of my sons, Dean and Brad. “There Gone but Never Forgotten”
