CHAPLIN, Emily Joy
August 8, 2001 – August 26, 2011
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the tragic loss of our beautiful daughter, Emily Joy. Her life was cut way too short at the age of 10 (in a boating accident), while on vacation with her family in Kelowna. Emily was the youngest, and only girl of five children. Emily was a child who had a contagious smile that would light up any room. Having four older brothers, she was a tough little girl who loved adventure and wasn’t afraid of trying anything. Although Emily had numerous friends, her main companion was her Mum, who taught her the love of art. Emily was always creating beautiful pictures and jewelry, which she gifted to the people she cared about. Her nurturing, loving nature towards her family, other children and animals will be what is most remembered. Emily will forever be loved and missed by her parents Terry and Nancy Chaplin, brothers Spencer, Josh, Jarett and Chance; her paternal grandparents Heather, Rollie Mireau, (predeceased by grandfather Leslie Chaplin); her maternal grandparents Alice Walters and Robert John Walters; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
