We Remember

CHRISTIANSON, Earl “Roger”

December 5, 1949 — July 1, 2026

It is with immense love and sadness that we announce the loss of Earl “Roger” Christianson, who passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026, at the age of 76.

Left to hold him dear to their hearts are those he loved most, including his wife Shirley; children Jodi (Nick) and Dale (Cimmi); grandchildren Hannah, Timothy, Liam, Charlotte, Nathan, and Alexander Martens; his son Jeffery (Titania); and brother Wilson.

He now goes to join his father, Edgar, and brother, Richard.

Roger was born on December 5, 1949, in Kelowna, British Columbia, and grew up in Rutland, where he attended school. In 1969, he began working at SEKID, spending the next 30 years there till he retired. Near the end of his retirement, he and his dad had a U-pick raspberry patch. He was a hardworking man who believed that providing for his family was his most important job, and he took great pride in being able to do so.

In his free time, Roger enjoyed farming and gardening. He liked being outdoors and found satisfaction in working the land and caring for what he grew. Roger will be remembered as a dedicated worker, a devoted family man, and someone who appreciated a simple, honest way of life.

Family and friends will each honour Roger in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
