We Remember
CHWELOS, Audrey Florence (nee Coburn)
October 4, 1930 — November 7, 2015
Passed away at the Central Okanagan Hospice House on November 7, 2015. Audrey is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah (Ty) DeBelser (Jarvis Bay), grandson Mitchell (Melissa) DeBelser (Calgary), granddaughter, Holly DeBelser (Edmonton), great grandson Brennan (Calgary), as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Florrie Coburn, sister Beryl, son Tom and husband Michael. Audrey was born at North Battleford, Saskatchewan on October 4, 1930. She moved to Calgary with her husband and son in 1955, where her daughter was born. She was active raising her children (and Dachshunds), helping with the family business and enjoyed bowling, bridge and gardening. Upon retirement in 1994 Audrey and Mike moved to Kelowna where she continued her love of bowling, gardening, playing bridge and took up a new interest, golf. Audrey loved to entertain, socialize and thoroughly enjoyed her time and friends in Kelowna. A private family interment will take place at the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband and her son. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice House, Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of your choice. What a lovely photo and remembrance. Audrey was such a strong, determined force in a generation of strong characters. For me she is almost the last of her generation and I will miss knowing there is an Auntie who arose through those formative depression years into a model of caring and decency. My daughter Sarah will carry on with the Dachshund tradition 😉
Our deepest sympathy. We cherish our memories of a dear aunt and she will be deeply missed.

My thoughts are with you. I was very sorry to hear of Auntie Audrey passing away. My thoughts are with you during this time of sorrow. I feel blessed that we were able to spend time with her before she passed away.
A charming and thoughtful lady. She loved her bridge and we will always remember her standing up from her chair at the bridge table, placing her tissue on the seat and then walking around the chair several times to change her luck! We all met 20 years ago on ‘the Circle’ and proceeded to make wonderful memories.
Dear Debbie, Ty and Family
Audrey & Mike lived 5 doors down from us in Gallagher’s for 11 yrs. We had many a fun filled time, in Gallagher’s , in Mexico, and Yuma. Both are very special people and we are blessed to have had them as friends. We have many wonderful memories.
Dear Debbie:
I remember your mother well and also remember the great times we had at your parent’s home. Audrey was a lovely, charming lady and she will be missed.
My sincere condolences,
