We Remember
CLOWATER, Valerie Rae
August 26, 1952 — May 31, 2022
Our faith-filled and compassionate Valerie Clowater, who had the heart of a servant, passed away on May 31, 2022, in Kelowna, BC at the age of sixty-nine. Born in Calgary, AB, Valerie was a longtime resident of Prince George, BC (since she was 7 years old). She considered Prince George home, and it is where she raised her family. It was so she could be close to her children and grandchildren, that she came to Kelowna just two years ago.
Valerie goes to join those who have travelled this journey before her: her husband Gene; son Tyler; brother Don Stewart; and her parents Bob & Maloa Stewart. Left to treasure memories of her include her remaining children: Tanya Russell and Tim (Stacey) Russell; her five grandchildren: Avery, Jordyn & Jesse Elliott, and Rorie & Morgan Russell; as well as her sisters Dixie (Ernie) Hoffman and Karen (Lionel) Work; numerous nieces & nephews and other extended family members; and her many dear friends.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to the Village at Mill Creek staff. Your care and compassion are deeply appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Society British Columbia or to Gateway Church Prince George.
A Funeral Service will be held on MONDAY, JUNE 6, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at GATEWAY CHURCH, 2055 20 Avenue, Prince George, BC, with Pastor Greg Paulson officiating.
