We Remember
COOPER, Jack
April 22, 1932 — March 30, 2024
On March 30, 2024, at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna, BC, Jack Cooper passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Though Jack was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, his journey marked him as a stalwart figure in Kelowna’s nightlife scene. Tracing his three-decade-long tenure as the owner of Dusty’s and City Limits, it is clear that he shaped the city’s social landscape. With both his son and stepson actively involved in the family business.
Jack is survived by his children Rhonda (Dave) Lelek, Barbara Cooper, Judy Schacher, Robert (Orla) Cooper, Tyler (Tanis), and stepson Steven Cooper; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family isn’t going to be the only ones who will miss this “Social Bug”, the stories and anecdotes people have of Jack will keep his memory fresh. So, raise a pint or two in his memory and have fun and work hard.
Jack now joins the spirits of his late wife, Marci, and his late grandson, Graham Maryancik, who both predeceased him.

Miss you already Dad 💙🥹
Please accept my condolences to Barb, Rhonda, Judy and families. I will always remember the good stories you used to tell me about your dad..
I met Jack at Sun Pointe as a new care aide. He always had a huge smile and loved his Coca Cola. Very humble and sweet man. My thought are with you all.
