We Remember

CORLEY, Mildred Irene

Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 85.  Survived by her loving family:  sons Dale (Wendy) of Calgary, Wayne (Kathi) of Kelowna; daughters Chris Bradley (Dale) and Donna Gutsch (Bill) all of Calgary; grandchildren: Clayton and Tegan Corley, Josh and Graham Bradley; one sister Olive Stephens; several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband Lorne and brother Donald Currie.

Dear Friends and Family:

We invite you join us on the afternoon of Saturday, March 22nd as we celebrate the life of our mother, Mil Corley.  As per Mom’s wishes, this is not intended to be a day of sadness, but is instead an opportunity to remember her life with joy.

Mom lived a very full life and was an incredibly social person who amazed us with her capacity to make friends and maintain those friendships over time and distance.

We plan to present a tribute to Mom’s life with photos, music and stories, but it will mainly be an opportunity to visit, share memories and remember the love Mom shared with all of us.  If you have a story you would like to share we would love for you to contribute to the occasion.

If you can’t attend in person, or aren’t comfortable presenting to a group but would still like to share a story, memory or a photo, please do so by forwarding them by email to Chris Bradley at corleyc@telus.net

The Celebration of life will be held in the hall at Ridgeview Church on the corner of Hollywood Road and Springfield Road in the Rutland area of Kelowna.  (1097 Hollywood Road).  We plan to open the doors at 1:00 PM with a tribute planned for around 2:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served.  As the day draws nearer we will have more information including suggested accommodations for those attending from out of town.

If you plan to attend, please let us know by emailing Chris at the address above.  This is not essential but will help with our planning.  If you can think of someone else who would like to attend but is not on our email list, please feel free to forward this message.  Chris, Donna, Dale and Wayne

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, www.llscanada.org.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

Dale,Wayne,Chris,Donna and families – We were so sad to hear of Auntie Mils passing. I have so many fond memories of times at Armstrong,Kamloops,Kelowna,Vernon and the lake. Your Mom was always so happy – even when learning to water ski she saw the funny side of things ! Auntie Mil was so easy to talk to and we always enjoyed our too rare visits. You are lucky to have so many good memories of both Auntie Mil and Uncle Lorne. They are, no doubt, watching over you from the golf course. Please keep us informed of plans for a memorial as we would like to attend. Elaine & Art
