It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beryl Cowan in Kelowna on February 12th, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Beryl is survived by her daughter Sherry (Kurt)Wezner, nieces Lee Taylor and Alma Slack, nephew Keith (Lorraine) Pinchbeck, extended family, and many friends. She is predeceased by her husband Al, son Byron, brothers George and Raymond, and sisters Freda and Dorothy. Beryl was born in Quesnel and grew up in Kamloops. In 1958, Beryl moved with her husband to New Brunswick. Both of their children were born there. They moved back to BC in 1970, first to Houston then settling in Burns Lake. Beryl was an active member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She moved to Vernon in 2002 and then to Kelowna in 2015. A celebration of Beryl’s life will be held in Burns Lake at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice.
