  • Rita German says:

    Dear Dale & Betty,
My deepest sympathy & love to you and your families. I loved your Mom, she was an amazing woman …..smart, fun, loving and brave. We met in Faro, Yukon in 1969 and have stayed friends over the years.
She told me in a text on July 6 that she “cherished the fact that she’d had a good life and a wonderful family and friends”❤️
    Much love,
    Rita GERMAN

  • Marnie Mcguckin says:

Although we did not see Harry and Elaine often, their visits to Alberta were a important event! Auntie Elaine was always full of charm and manners but there was always the bubbly laugh that accompanied the stories we shared. She will be fondly remembered and sincere condolences to Dale and Betty and their families.
Sympathies from Auntie Jean and cousins

  • Dick Zandee says:

This is after the fact and Dale and Betty have likely stopped checking this site, but Lynn and I would like to add our heart felt condolences for Elaine’s passing. We really only know Dale and Betty and we are thinking of you and your loss. Our time with Elaine and Harry go back to Williams Lake days but we continued to share Christmas cards over the years. Harry and Lynn shared the same birthday. Elaine was such a fun person and we will remember her fondly.

    Dear Betty Dale and family,
We have no words to comfort you what you all are going through at this most difficult time.
We just found out through Jean Robinson when the funeral took place since she forwarded the Elaine’s funeral video this morning.
We admired her courage always but one has to be the most brave person to decide such actions like this.
Our entire family think of Elaine as great Elaine or Aunty Elaine, the very strong, elegant, beautiful, funny and caring lady and we are so fortunate to have crossed our life together and created our most fond memories especially at the Toquart Bay camping and fishing.
We all thank you for all Elaine and Harry had don for us and we will cherish time we had together.
    With lots of love,
Tomiko, Toshi, Kenji, Seiji, Lisa, Lincoln and Connor

Our deepest condolences to you both and the families. All of our lives were enriched by your Mom and Dad and we shall miss them both greatly. We have such happy memories of the Craige family camping, fishing and hunting together, not forgetting the wonderful feasts. Elaine’s antipasto was to die for.
I was so happy to be able to talk with her recently. We were both in tears..
She may have left us but the beautiful memories will be with us forever along with the famous Craige cook book!
    Please keep in contact .
Love from us all Jean, Ron, John & Andrew
