We Remember

CUMBERLIDGE, Malcolm
—
November 20, 1931 – July 11, 2020
Dr. Malcolm Cumberlidge quietly went to be with the Lord on July 11th, 2020 in his home with his family around him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Judy, daughters, Stephanie, and Rebecca and their husbands, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Malcolm put God first in his life and the life of his family. He was devoted and active in local churches as well as many other faith-based organizations. His surgical career spanned three decades, on both sides of the continent. Malcolm’s life has been and will continue to be, an inspiration to us all. We loved him deeply and are so thankful for him! Malcolm was a friend, counselor, confidant, intercessor, teacher, mentor, servant leader, and father to many.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service was held, and a video recording was made of a later private Celebration of Malcolm’s Life. A full obituary has also been compiled. The video and obituary are available to friends of the family upon private request through our condolences link below. The family wishes to extend our deepest appreciation to the teams of doctors, nurses, care aides, and ambulance attendants who served Malcolm so well, and with such kindness in recent years. May the Lord bless each of you.
Memorial Donations in loving memory of Malcolm may be made to International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, www.icej.org, Hope and Healing International, www.hopeandhealing.org.
Dearest Cumberlidge Family. Please accept the deepest condolences from the Ongaro family. No doubt Malcolm has been welcomed into his his eternal life and is celebrating with all those who have gone before him including both my parents, Max and Joan. Malcolm and the rest of your family have been such an encouragement and a beacon of faith and love. My Dad and Mom so often spoke of he and you, Judy. Although Malcolm will surely be deeply missed by many, his legacy will will endure well beyond his years, Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time and in the months ahead. Love Dana & Doug Howe
Malcolm had a full and interesting life that he loved to share when we had time (and he found the energy!) – he was a joy to care for, always so thankful and appreciative. My positive thoughts go towards your awesome family – you have so much to be proud of in this man – he lives on in all of you
Dear Judy and Family, I was so sorry to hear Malcolm has left us, but know that he’s rejoicing in Glory, reveling in seeing Jesus face to face. Malcolm’s own great love, gentleness, and compassion always shone from his face and eyes, and a prayer and words of encouragement were always on his lips. It was such an honour and privilege to have known both him and you, Judy. My thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since I heard the news. May the Lord’s love surround and comfort you and the family at this time. Yes, please, I would like to see the video of the celebration of Malcolm’s life on earth, and to read and print out the fuller obituary. Will your contact phone number / email address be there, too? Much love, Romans 15:33, Susan, kgf
The world has lost a kind and gentle man. I will not lose my memory of him.
I came across a note left for me back then and visited the site. Malcom had an effect upon us all. I was thinking of he just the other day. Yes, he will be and is missed, but not forgotten
