We Remember
CUNNINGHAM, Allison
August 25, 1967 — August 30, 2018
Passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the age of 51. She is survived by her loving husband Bruce, son Connor and daughter Sydney.
Allison Cunningham (nee Butterfield) was born in Hitchin, England on August 25, 1967. The youngest of 3 children, Mark and Wayne, to Robert and Delia Butterfield. In 1990, Allie met the love of her life Bruce in Stevenage, England while serving him a pint of beer in the pub. They fell in love and moved over to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia 8 months later. She settled into Canadian life having her wonderful son Connor in Halifax, Nova Scotia and beautiful daughter Sydney in Barrie, Ontario. The family settled down in Kelowna, BC in 1998 where they have lived ever since.
Allie was quick-witted and intelligent. When she wanted to become a medical office assistant she gave it 110% and enjoyed every minute of it. She worked for Dr. Phillip White and Dr. Cameron Bakala before a downturn in her health. She has been home for the last 6 years dealing with numerous health issues. Allie had a smile on her face every day.
She loved keeping a nice house, drinking a spiced rum and being with her family, especially her shih tzu pup Molly.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to all those who loved and cared for Allie, especially to the doctors and nurses at Kelowna General Hospital.
Allie will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Whenever she walked into the room her big smile and heart of gold would brighten everyone’s day.

Our sincere condolences to you all. Allie was such a warm hearted fun loving person and we have many fond memories of the years when our kids were little. She held you Bruce, Conner and Sydney all dearest in her heart-you were all the world to her! She cherished the fact that we always knew we would re-connect when we retired. So sad that time flew too quickly. Sending lots of love to you all Bruce- we will be back in B.C. soon! Just bought a house in Sidney, let us know if you’re ever on the island. J’lene & Dan

My heart goes out to you Bruce, Sydney and Connor. ❤ I just had a chance to sit and watch the whole ceremony…it was beautiful, tear jerking, enlightening and if course brought joy listening to stories of sweet Allie. I wish I could ve been there, but felt I was watching it now. ❤ What an amazing tribute to our beautiful Allie. Was so happy to have given her the biggest hug and “I love you” a few days before her passing. She was such a beautiful soul…never forgotten ❤Rest in peace sweet lady. Teresa xoxo
