We Remember
DAGNONE, Saverio “Sam”
October 3, 1932 — August 22, 2021
It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Sam on August 22, 2021. Sam was born in Civitanova del Sannio, Italy. Son of Antonio and Maria Domenica (née Di Tomasso), he immigrated to Canada in 1948, and he first settled in the town of Simpson, SK. He was employed by the City of Regina, SK until retirement. Sam and his wife, Concetta(nee Fiorante) then moved to Kelowna, BC, where he continued his passion for wine making. Saverio was predeceased by Concetta and his brother, Giuseppe. Left to cherish Sam’s memories are his nephews, nieces, and numerous close relatives and friends. Loss of a constant companion/best friend for Therese Dion. Much thanks for the assistance provided by Jacquie Bauer of Kelowna. To respect Covid-19 restrictions, a Funeral Service will not be held. Details of Sam’s celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Entombment will be at St. Anthony’s Mausoleum in Regina Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please choose to honor Sam by donating to the charity of your choice.
