We Remember
DALZIEL, Joanne
January 24, 1959 — September 19, 2025
On January 24, 1959, Joanne Dalziel came into the world, and on September 19, 2025, at the age of 66, she left it – having filled the years between with courage, laughter, and love.
She is remembered by her husband, Clark, with whom she shared many years of companionship; by her children, Richard and Chad (Maria); and by her grandchildren, Colten, Brock, Jade, and Logan, who delighted her heart. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandy, David, and Don.
Joanne met Clark while working at Tim Hortons, a simple beginning that turned into a life-long story. She was beautiful and brave, but more than that, she was steadfast in her love. She treasured photo albums and scrapbooks, each page a reminder of the people and moments she cherished.
Her life was made large by others, by her wide circle of friends, by the families who gathered round her, and most of all by her sons. She took part in every adventure with them, from Beavers & Scouts to Cadets and camping trips under summer skies. Music was another of her companions, Leonard Cohen holding a special place among her favourites.
Those who knew her will remember not just what she did, but how she did it – wholeheartedly, with warmth and with joy in company.

Auntie Jo had a profound impact on my life. She was the definition of strength — courageous, hardworking, and full of grace and kindness. A devoted mom, and someone my grandma loved like her own daughter. I’ll never forget the way Grandma often bragged about Auntie Jo’s incredible ability to juggle motherhood and work so hard to provide. I am forever grateful to call you my auntie!!
