We Remember

DAVIDSON, Donald Scott
April 9, 1975 — February 3, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Davidson, who left us far too soon on February 3, 2025, due to an unexpected heart attack.
Scott was a man of unwavering loyalty, fierce honesty, and boundless generosity. If you were lucky enough to be loved by him, you knew it—because Scott didn’t do anything halfway. He was a devoted husband to Alison; a proud and loving father to Branden and Kieran; a cherished son to Pearl Chiba and Donald Arthur; and a steadfast brother to Stacey-Leanne. His in-laws, Keith and Lorraine, along with his brothers-in-law Ian (Glenda), Andrew (Megan), and Neil, held a very special place in his life. He was also a beloved uncle to Charmaine, Charlie, and Lily, and a doting great-uncle to Cora.
A true mentor and paternal figure, Scott looked out for those who needed guidance, protection, or just a straight-talking friend. Whether as a mechanic, a racing enthusiast, or a parts specialist, he was an absolute force—talented, hardworking, and unstoppable. His dedication to his craft at Bulldog Automotive and beyond was only matched by his dedication to those he loved.
Scott was direct, brutally honest, adaptable, and endlessly creative. His work ethic was unmatched as he led by example. His presence was larger than life. Though he is no longer physically with us, his impact will never fade.
A Celebration of Life will be held this spring, where we will gather to honour Scott in the way he would have wanted—straight to the point, with love, laughter, and stories that will keep his spirit alive. Details to be announced.
Scott, you were one of a kind, and you will be forever remembered.

My sincere condolences to Pearl and Stacey and the Davidson family.
Dearest family – I am so sorry for your loss and hope the days and weeks ahead get a little easier for you. Scott was a such a strong and caring man who brought so much joy and love to our family. We send you strength and love and comfort.
I first met Scott.when he was a shy little guy 5 years old. A lad of few words, his smile said it all. He couldn’t pronounce my name, so I became Laylee, a moniker I’ve treasured since. Scott’s quiet nature hid the fact that he was a deep thinker, a peruser of life, relationships, animals and all things mechanical. He loved to play in the dirt with trucks, climb fences, and snuggle with the menagerie always present in his home and his friends home. Scott attended Sea Island Elementary School, a one classroom school that had kindergarten to grade 3. It was a perfect setting, surrounded by all his friends and neighbourhood kids, able to walk to and from school in under 3 minutes, surrounded by a small community where everyone knew everyone. As Scott grew and matured his love for those around him deepened, and his commitment to them grew so that anyone who knew him felt respected, treasured and loved. He was especially important to big sister Stacey, who doted on him, and was honestly, the best sister anyone could have wished for. Although our lives went in separate directions as we aged and grew, I was blessed to remain part of his fan base, keeping in touch through family and Facebook. I will forever remember looking into his deep dark eyes, full of wonder, curiosity, and love for life. The world has lost an amazing and unique soul, the kind of person who would go the extra mile, give you the shirt off his back, pitch in silently to ease your burden, and love with all his heart. Our hearts weep with his family and friends as we mourn the loss of such a precious and beautiful son, brother, uncle, cousin, father and friend. We love you Scott, forevermore.
