DAVIDSON, Janet Patricia
September 3, 1956 — January 20, 2024
We are saddened to announce the passing of Janet Patricia Davidson, who passed away on January 20th, 2024, in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 67.
Janet is predeceased by her sister Linda Williamson; step-father Rod Casavant; father Samuel Davidson; mother Margaret Casavant; niece Sarah Casavant; brothers David Casavant and Linton Davidson; daughter Danielle Lyall and her father Bucky Lyall; as well as close companion Terry Ellis.
Janet is survived by her daughter Victoria Lomsdalen; Victoria’s father Les Lomsdalen; sister Kaye Davidson (Clarence Breitkreutz); brothers Gary Davidson (Evelyn Davidson) and Bryan Davidson (Aly Davidson); and sisters-in-law Judy Davidson and Amy Casavant; and brother-in-law Ron Williamson. Janet leaves behind many nieces, nephews and close friends, as well as newfound and longtime friendships she had for over 50 years.
Born in Barrhead, Alberta on September 3, 1956, Janet spent her childhood in Grande Prairie, Alberta. In 1986, she moved to Nanaimo, British Columbia, where her brother Gary had just relocated. Janet and family moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 1997 and resided here until her passing.
Janet is known for her infectious laugh, wicked tongue, and unforgettable personality. There was rarely a dull moment if Janet was in the room. She is remembered for her great style through her eye for fashion and interior design, and made the best trifle in Western Canada!
Although Janet faced challenges in her life, she was cherished and loved by many. She will leave a lasting impression in our lives and will be missed incredibly.
Janet will be remembered individually by family and friends, there will be no service at this time.

Janet always had a story and a great laugh. RIP half sister. Will remember the good times.
I’m so saddened to hear my old friend Janet has passed. We spent a lot of time chatting and laughing. She was great company and I will miss her.

To Janet’s family. My heart aches for you all. Janet is no longer suffering. Having been her friend for 50+ years I am going to miss her so much. Our two hour phone sessions especially LOL. She was small, but mighty and will be missed forever. Rest easy Janet. I will see you at a later date 🌹
