DAVIS, Jean

Passed away on April 20, 2016 at the age of 85. Jean was born July 6, 1930 in Wanstead, England and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She married Winifried Boedeker in 1958 and had 3 children in the years that followed. After her marriage Jean settled in Vernon where she worked as an RN at Vernon Jubilee for 30 years. She had a strong love for animals and spent much of her life horseback riding around BC with her dogs trailing behind her. Jean was a woman of many talents with a wild and adventurous spirit. Her pearls of wisdom and infectious laughter serve as a memory to all who knew her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and fierce friend who will forever be missed. A service will be held at a later date. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
Our thoughts and blessings are with Jean’s family. I worked with Jean on 4-North of VJH.
We would like to attend the service if possible, so date, time and location appreciated.

She was truly a unique person. We will miss her wisdom and her friendship. We hope that you find comfort in all your memories of Jean and in those that others share with you.
Sending my sympathy to Jean’s family; she was so proud of her children. I remember having great laughs with Jean working with her at VJH . She was a great nurse , one I admired and respected. When she first worked at VJH she was a supervisor floating through the hospital in her whites and “winged” nursing cap. May you treasure happy memories of your mom.
I miss Jean. She was always so positive and upbeat. I loved her sense of humour and thirst for knowledge. Fond memories of our chats about books we were reading and life adventures. I feel blessed to have know her. Thanks, Geoff, for sharing her with me. I know how painful it is for you and your family. My thoughts are with you all.
