Jim was my first principal when I came to Kelowna mid ’70’s. He was such a warm and wonderful guy to work for and with. Later in life I loved running into him in City Park doing his training…always setting such a fine example. He really did have a positive impact on so many. Thinking of you all at this very painful time. Pat
Sorry for your loss . You were great neighbours to have growing up . Scott Ivans and family
Our family remebers Mr. Day as a kind and patient principal who was always looking for the positive in students, and was very encouraging..
I enjoyed my time working with him at Black Mtn. Elementary.
He certainly influenced many student and teacher lives in a positive way.
Very sorry to hear of your husbands passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Mr. Day was my principal when I went to Black Mountain Elementary back in the 80’s. I remember that he was very friendly and very kind. I have many fond memories of him.
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
I had the pleasure of working in the office with Jim at Dorothea Walker Elementary for a number of years. He was one of my favorite Principals. My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time.
Dear Marcella and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. I will always remember Jim fondly and have wonderful memories of him. His positive influence has made a difference to others during his life’s journey. We hope that the love of family and friends will comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.
So sorry to hear of this loss. He was a kind gentle man, my husband Ron, loved working with him. He sang his praises! Often.
How lucky was I to have Jim as one of my first, best and most kind principals when I stated teaching at the little primary school in the Mission in the 60’s!
