We Remember
DECKER, Peter
October 23, 1925 — January 5, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce that Peter passed away, at home, on January 5, 2021, at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving wife, Marianne, whom he married 74 years ago on the 22nd of December 1946. Born in Bonn, Germany, he later moved to Wuppertal, Germany as a child. After serving in the army, he soon trained as an office machine mechanic. While watching 2 hikers explore the BC coast on their brand-new television set, Peter and Marianne made the decision to immigrate to Canada; they arrived in Vancouver, BC in 1958. That same year, Peter travelled to Kelowna, BC for an employment opportunity and arrived on the same day as the old Okanagan Floating Bridge opened for traffic. He never left.

We lived beside Peter and Marianne for many years. You couldn’t have asked for nicer neighbors. My condolences Marianne.
I was a friendly competitor of Peters back in the 80 ‘s. We frequently had coffee together.
My sincere condolences.
I am very sorry for your loss and wish your family strength during this difficult time.
