DOHERTY, Mary Isabel

January 9, 1924 — November 30, 2018

Mary Isabel Doherty Oliver (nee McCoy) was born on January 9, 1924 in London, ON. She passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at the age of 94 in Kelowna, BC.

Mary lived a busy and full life. She volunteered for many years at Kelowna General Hospital and at the First United Church in the office, as well as in other capacities.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Ellen McCoy, her first husband George Oliver in 1983, and her second husband Ken Doherty in 1982, daughter Wilma Enyedy in 2002, great-grandson Brooks Oliver in 2007, and son in-law Don Jamieson in 2016, sister Beatrice (Alf) Hildebrandt, and brother Robert (Pat) Well.

She is survived by her daughter Thelma Jamieson, son Barry (Linda) Oliver, step-daughter Sandra (Al) Gleason, grandchildren; Coral (Larry) Field, Tracy Ruzicka, Robert (Chiho Hikawa) Jamieson, Ron (Dena) Enyedy, Mike (Dianne) Enyedy, Chris (Trish) Enyedy, Ryan (Lisa) Oliver, and Devin (Lynette) Oliver, step-grandchildren; Brendon (Priya) Webster, Kian Gleason, and Aaron Gleason, great grandchildren; Elaina (Matt) Field, Alex Field, Jay Ruzicka, Briana Oliver, Adam Oliver, Sara Oliver, Zak Enyedy, Denaya Enyedy, Jacob (Miranda) Enyedy, Brandon Enyedy, Daniel Enyedy, Rachel Enyedy, Jase Enyedy, Lane Enyedy, and Grady Enyedy, as well, great-great-granddaughter Rya Rae Enyedy.

Our mother and grandmother, Mary, will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A Graveside Service for Mary will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery, Kelowna, BC.

    To all the family I am sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. Growing up she was like a second Mom to me since Barry and I were very close friends. Lots of good memories so to her family cherish your memories. Good long life RIP
