We Remember

DONHAUSER, Annamary

January 21, 1924 — November 30, 2021

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Great-Great-Grandma, Annamary Donhauser at the age of 97.

Annamary was born in Salvador, Saskatchewan and was the eldest of 8 children (the big sister). She was predeceased by her husband Henry. She moved from Saskatchewan in 1947 to Rutland, BC.  After
many years farming, working, and raising her family, she moved to Vernon, BC in 1968. Mom and Dad purchased and operated the White Star Manor apartments along with the Lumby Shoe and Clothing Store. They moved back to Rutland in 1981.

Annamary will always be remembered by her five children: Eileen Tokash (Ed), Adeline Lemky (Larry, deceased), Bernice Browne (Miles), Jeanette Reilly (Jim), and Mel Donhauser (Linda). She
adored her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Annamary’s hobbies were reading, playing bingo and cards, crocheting, knitting, and volunteer work.  She also loved to fish when she was young. And last but not least, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed many experiences on cruises, bus trips, and family camp outs. She still had the ability to use email and follow her children and grandchildren on Facebook.

Mom will be dearly missed by all of those who knew her and will be in our hearts and memories forever.

Per her wishes, feel free to make a donation of your choice in the memory of Annamary Donhauser, in lieu of flowers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Village at Mill Creek for their kindness and care in looking after her.

A Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date.
