We Remember

DUCHARME, Aizlee Francis

May 20, 1989 — July 6, 2026

Aizlee, our beloved sister of Chez, Bliss, and myself (Jaz), beloved daughter of Bryan and Joanne Ducharme, and so many other family members and friends, has finally been released from this world to be free in Heaven with Our Father.

She was like that Rihanna song, “Shines Bright Like A Diamond”, she carried so much life and light within her. For those that knew and remember her, she was a firecracker. Always up for a good time, laugh, boat ride, or project. She was your girl. She worked hard, always able to turn spaces into works of art.

Aizlee worked alongside Dad and Chez for years travelling around B.C, but one of her biggest dreams was just to get married and have kids. She would have gotten that but things turned for the worse. Aizlee survived a car accident, but, it was only a short 12 days later when she suffered an unexpected severe brain bleed. We waited for 10 years while she battled infections, seizures, and strokes with very minimal signs of recovery. She fought the whole way. She spent 10 years in Cottonwoods surviving with her parents, friends, and family by her side. She battled addiction for many years trying to get better. She was on her way to treatment when the accident took place. The last words she said to me were “I can’t wait to get home and start my life-I’m ready.” She was very excited to have her teeth replaced from the accident, and it was an early and beautiful spring in Kelowna that year and we were ready to have her back. Trudging along through surgeries, happy, awake and mending smoothly. Then in an instant life changed.

Now, she lives her days in peace with God. Free of her body. She was always dancing, listening to music, and with people. She brought the energy, sparkle, and noise. Aizlee you will be missed by all who loved you so dearly. Your shine, your big smile, and heart. You loved kids and animals, and you could always make things fun.

We lost a special person from our family who had a long and difficult battle, and in her case, anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. But now you rest. We can’t wait to see you again. We love you forever Aizlee.

We all love you.
