We Remember

DUNCOMBE, Allan H.
—
Staff Sgt. (Retired)
Crossed over peacefully on February 3, 2013 at the age of 77 years young. Al was a decorated member of the RCMP and served honorably for 23 years. He was a lover of life and the outdoors, an avid fisherman and the best dad a kid could ever hope for. Al was a true original with an unrivalled sense of humor. He is survived by his loving children Christopher Duncombe, Eileen Duncombe and his granddaughter Shayin Raven Philpott. Our family would like to thank the caring staff at KGH 5B and Village at Mill Creek-Kalamalka for their support and friendship. At Al’s request there will not be a funeral service. Gone Fishing!

I extend my deepest condolences to Al’s family. As Al, I am a retired RCMP member and first met Al in 1956/57 when I was stationed in Lethbridge. Though I never served personally with Al, I have lived in Kelowna for the past 30 years and was in touch with him over the years, the last just before this past Christmas.

“G” Troop 57/58. My express and
condolences to the family. Al
was on the Musical Ride in 1961
and he was well like by all
members. I sent him a picture of 6 members who had attended the Musical Ride Reunion in
Ottawa in 2000.
Sad to hear that Al has passed on. He was the OIC of security at BC Tree Fruits when I worked there in the early ’80s.
Al was very professional and I learned a great deal from him.
