We Remember

DYCK, Clarence

It is with heartbreak, yet hope, that we announce the passing of our precious dad, Clarence, on Thursday, February 23, 2023.  He slipped away quietly and peacefully at the age of 96.

Dad was an educator by nature and profession.  He modeled great resiliency when confronted by trials, a steadfast faith in the Lord’s goodness, and a winsome and sometimes sassy approach to life and those he encountered.  He was an elementary school teacher and administrator in the Vernon school district for the majority of his career.  He touched the lives of many.

As a man of strong faith, Dad was ready to join his Lord and the loved ones who had passed on before him, including his beloved wife, Helen.  Dad was our rock.  He will be sorely missed by his three daughters: Patricia (Dan), Marilyn and Catherine. He leaves behind his grandsons: Aaron (Nikki) and Kevin (Kim); and two great-grandsons: Quinton and Owen.

Our family would like to give special thanks to the amazing staff at Smith Creek Village. Your loving, compassionate care of our dear Dad is so appreciated.

A Memorial Reception for Clarence will be held later in the Spring.
