We Remember
ERICKSON, Sandra Jo
August 11, 1963 — September 10, 2025
It is with immense love and sadness that we announce the loss of Sandy Erickson, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ervin; son Corey; best friend Charlene; dog Lilly; and her pot-bellied pig, Pickles.
She now goes to join those who passed before her, including her father Arthur “Bud”; mother Berdell; and her chosen family, Russ, George, and Jean.
Sandy was born on August 11, 1963, in Fort Frances, Ontario, and from the very beginning she carried a spark that made her unforgettable. She met the love of her life at a wedding reception, a moment that would blossom into a lifetime of partnership, laughter, and devotion. Sandy was known for her sharp wit and dry, sarcastic sense of humour that could bring a smile to anyone’s face. She had a gift for seeing the world in her own unique way, and she made those around her feel both cherished and entertained.
Her love for animals was boundless, a reflection of her deep sensitivity and care for all living things. Family meant everything to her, both her own and those she chose to welcome into her circle, and she nurtured those relationships with the same tenderness she gave her garden. Sandy had a natural talent for bringing things to life, whether it was flowers blooming in her care or the beautiful crochet creations she made without ever needing a pattern. She lived with generosity, love, and creativity, leaving behind memories and gifts that will be treasured always.
Sandy will be missed beyond words, but the joy, love, and warmth she shared will never be forgotten.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the BC SPCA in honour of Sandy.
