We Remember
EVANSON, Rozel June
—
With sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother and friend, Rozel June Evanson. Mom passed away peacefully on March 18, 2017 at the age of 91. She leaves behind one daughter, Jennifer, and four sons: David, Alan, Philip and Floyd, as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She had a tender heart, and was grateful to God for an abundant and rich life. She was generous, creative, and a curious woman who had a strong quest to live life to the fullest. A private celebration of Rozel’s life will be held by immediate family in the Spring when the wild flowers are in bloom.

Our thoughts are with you Jenn during this difficult time. May your special memories, and the knowledge that your mom has found the peace she was wanting, be a comfort to you all.

I knew your mom through the SLR Book Club where she was a member and contributor for many years. I admired her breadth of knowledge about books and about life. Her ability to express her thoughts and to sort out some of the fluff from deeper meanings within the pages provided much fodder for discussion. She will be missed.
Rozel was a treasure. I knew her through the SLR Book Club. She had an incredible amount of knowledge and energy. I was truly in awe at her ability to remember and relate information.
I admired her ability to engage people, her kindness and integrity. She lived a life that was absolutely amazing. I am sure there were times when she felt misunderstood; but only someone with her wisdom and confidence would possess such feelings. She was a very special woman!
To Rozel’s family: I am so sorry for your loss; may her compassion continue to comfort you and may her spirit live on. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. Farewell my friend!
