It is with great sadness that the family of Omid Fahandezh Sadi announce his sudden passing on November 10, 2020. Omid’s passing in a car accident at the age of 46 has been a tremendous shock to every one who knew him.
Born in Shiraz, Iran in 1974 to Mr. Jahan-bakhsh and Mrs. Monireh Fahandezh Sadi, Omid immigrated to Canada at the young age of 20 and settled in Kelowna, BC. With hard work and perseverance, Omid became a successful electrician, but his true love was with nature, so he bought a farm in Lake Country where he would spend most of his time off work nurturing his fruit trees and vegetable garden. Omid’s outdoor adventure and fun wasn’t limited to his farm, almost on a daily basis, he would be fishing on the lakes in summer days, hunting in the mountains in the fall, and ice fishing on the frozen lakes in the winter.
Omid was a loving husband to his wife of 20 years, Parisa, and an exemplary father and a true friend to his lovely son Sumyar. Omid never allowed difficulties or grievances in life get on his way of enjoying every second of his life with his family. He was always happy and never said no to his family and friends when they needed help. Omid’s positive energy always brought joy and happiness to anyone who was at his presence.
Omid will be greatly missed by his wife Parsia; son Sumyar; parents Jahan-bakhsh and Monireh; sisters Mitra, Gita, Noora, and Niusha; as well as numerous other family and friends.
A celebration of Omid’s life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Due to the Covid-19 situation only immediate family members are able to attend. However, the family would like to invite all who wish to join, to view it online by Livestream (see below).

What a wonderful man Omid was and what a remarkable life he had. Omid was one of the funniest, most positive and vibrant people I’ve ever met. He lived a short life but he enjoyed every moment of it. We never would have felt ready to say good-bye to someone as special as Omid, but this timing feels especially tough.
Wishing your family comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead. We’ll be praying for all of you specially our dear Parisa and Sumyar. We will be missing Omid along with you.

Shocked and truly saddened when I learned of Omid’s sudden passing. I worked with Omid for many years and always appreciated his humour and indomitable good nature. I will never forget the beautiful smile he always had on his face.
We will always be thankful that we had the opportunity to meet him and to call him a friend. We will cherish his memory for years to come.

Such a shock , to think that all of us won’t have Omids larger then life personality and presence amongst us all. You could always hear him before you saw him. He was a man of passion , and did everything 100%. The fish and deer have been given a big reprieve knowing there not going to be stalked by Omid. I can truely say , I have never met someone even close to Omid . He was truely one of a kind . Such a family man , with a huge heart . I admired his energy , and have lost a good friend .

Parisa my friend words can not express how we are feeling. Omid was a great husband and father. We were looking forward to our retirement together. I will remember him for his kindness. In 2003 when my whole family got sick he helped cook a very big pot of soup and we ate it for days. May God give you and the whole family comfort in these tough times. May his soul Rest In Peace. So very shocked and sad to hear of Omid’s untimely death.. He was a wonderful person, always a smile and never saw him angry or frustrated.
