We Remember
FALK, Benni Edward
—
On Tuesday, June 25th, 2013 Benni Edward Falk went to be with the Lord just two days short of his 77th birthday. Survived by Beatrice, his loving wife of 57 years, his three daughters, Debbie, Terry (Dale) and Sherry (Ron) and three adoring grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsay and Jason. Also survived by his younger sister Adeline as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Sadly predeceased by his parents and younger brother Don as well as his granddaughter Elizabeth and nephew Paul.
Ben and Bea were married in Winnipeg in October 1956 and raised their family there. They have lived in Kelowna for the past 20 years. Ben was an electrician by trade and worked for the Winnipeg School Board for years and during his life volunteered these skills tirelessly wherever they were needed. This included missions to Israel and Argentina as well as many hours spent volunteering for various churches & organizations both in Winnipeg and Kelowna. The joy of the Lord shone through Ben and his positive approach to life was infectious and cherished by all who knew him.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at the Village at Smith Creek who cared for Dad and supported him to maintain his dignity during the last 16 months of his life.
Celebration of Ben’s life to be held Thursday, June 27th at 2:00 pm at Evangel Church, 3261 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC, V1W 3N4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Evangel Church (see address above) or the Parkinson’s Society of BC, 600-890 West Pender Street, Vancouver, BC, V6C 1J9.
