We Remember
FARAGO, Geza
January 18, 1924 — October 19, 2022
At the age of 98, Geza Farago left his earthly home and went to his heavenly home to be with his Lord on October 19, 2022. He is survived by Gizella, his beloved wife of 79 years; his children and their spouses: Margit (Les), Zenobia (Wolfgang), Luke (Ilona), Julie (Steve), Lou (Margit), and Anne (Frank); his grandchildren Rob, Gloria, Steve, Michelle, Christian, Sylvia, David Farago, Richard, David Bene, Christine, and Jeremy; as well as his great-grandchildren Steve, Emilia, Luke, Bria, Carson, Lily, Levi, Livia, Reef, Wells, Alex, and Piroska.
Geza was born January 18, 1924, in Martonos, Yugoslavia to the late Lukacs Farago (d. Oct 1987) and Jolan Farago (d. June 1998); his brother’s name was Istvan Farago (decd.). Geza was in his 40s when he moved to Hamburg, Germany in the Autumn of 1970. And in his 50s, he immigrated to Toronto, ON in January 1977. At age 65 he retired to Kelowna, BC.
A gifted Artisan Carpenter, Geza enjoyed building beautiful furniture pieces for his family. He also loved working outside in his garden, vineyards, and with his fruit trees. He made good red wine.
Geza dedicated his time to serving the Lord. His entire life, he ministered to the Hungarians. He loved preaching God’s Word, and he had a profound love for his bible; he read it daily, and lived it out with grace, integrity, and humility.
Geza will be missed, until we meet again.

We do much loved and appreciated Uncle Geza, his words of encouragement through the years blessed us. When we visited him we do much enjoyed his grapes. He was a superb example of Jesus and his humility and love for God were magnetic making one wanting to imitate him.
He is now seeing what he believed and lived for.
Dear Anyu, dear sisters and brothers in law, dear Zeni,
I am deeply sorry about Apu’s passing. Words can not express my sorrow and sadness. I greatly admired Apu for his strength of character and his deep faith. Even after his death I will continue to be inspired by the actions he took and the things he said during his lifetime. He was a true man of God and will live on in my memories.
The first thought that came into my mind was from
2. Kings 2 Vers 11+12: …and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof “.
For our family he was the most importent pillar. He lead the family with wisdom and prayer. No one will be abel to replace him and his kind heart. Our only consolation is that he is now with the Lord and in His loving arms.
No words can help ease out our grief, but please accept my sincere sympathies and condolences.
Love
Wolfgang
