We Remember

FARINA, Vivian Lee

November 14, 1940 — September 9, 2025

It is with great love and sadness that we announce the loss of Vivian Lee Farina, who passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the Village at Mill Creek, in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 84.

Vivian leaves behind a wealth of love, including her children: daughter Cindy (Tim), sons Anthony (Denise) and Brad (Cathy), as well as daughter Tania (Chad); grandchildren: Amanda, Kelly (Patricia), Tara (Chris), Brady, Antonio, Ashton, Damien, Marcel, and Ryver; and great-grandchildren Solomon, Pearl, Addison, and Jacob.

She now goes to join her husband of 59 years, Tony Farina, who passed away in August 2019.

Vivian was born in Canora, Saskatchewan, where her life began with the values of family, hard work, and community. She later met her husband Tony in Vancouver, BC, and together they raised four children, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter and care. Vivian worked in various retail and restaurant spots throughout her life – primarily in Kelowna, BC and Calgary, AB. No matter where she worked, her kindness and thoughtfulness shone through, leaving lasting impressions on those she met. She had a gift for cooking and took great pride in preparing meals that brought family and friends together.

Beyond her work and home, Vivian loved to experience life fully. She had a passion for travelling, whether it was a trip to Mexico, a memorable family cruise, a trip to Vegas or her many visits to San Francisco, which she and her husband Tony cherished deeply. She also loved to dance and had a special place in her heart for Elvis Presley, whose music often got her moving with joy.

Vivian’s generous spirit, loving heart, and thoughtful ways touched everyone around her. She will be remembered not only for her warmth and devotion to her family, but also for the joy and light she brought into the lives of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved. May you rest in peace and be united with dad – we love you always and forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in the spring of 2026. Details to be announced.
