We Remember

FARROW, Valerie Louise

March 30, 1938 — January 2, 2022

Valerie Farrow passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022, surrounded by family. Valerie is survived by her husband Hedley; her son Jason Rosenberger; sisters Donna Green, Thelma Melnichuk, and Sandra Angell; brothers Donald and Wrae Green; the Hedley family of Heather, Janice (Peter), Adam, and Jonah; and many members of her extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Don Rosenberger.

Valerie was born on March 30, 1938, in Edmonton Alberta. She resided there until 1967, when she and her husband Don moved to Kelowna, and then Peachland. She worked for the City of Peachland for many years, and upon retirement moved to Kelowna. Valerie was an avid golfer at Michaelbrook Golf Course until health issues interfered.  Valerie’s townhouse community was like a family supporting one another. She was active on the board of directors and enjoyed happy hour each evening all year long at one home or another.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society,  or the Central Okanagan Hospice House, hospicehousekelowna.com.
