FAWCETT, Eric Ian Leslie
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
Went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2018 at the age of 93. He is survived by his loving wife Martha; daughters Janice St. Claire of Delta, BC and Rosalie Rapp of Kelowna, BC; son Eric Fawcett Jr. of Westbank, BC; and grandchildren Emily St. Claire, Daniel Rapp and Rachel Vannpashak. Eric is predeceased by his sister Denise; and brothers Roy and Albert Fawcett.
Eric was in the Canadian Army from October 1944 – 1946. He worked for 39 years as a mechanic and shop inspector at Air Canada in Winnipeg and Montreal, retiring in 1979. He then moved from Montreal to Kelowna, and finally settled in West Kelowna. Eric was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 39 years.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna with Pastor Ed Skutshek officiating. Interment to follow at Westbank Cemetery. Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the BC Cancer Agency, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3, www.bccancer.bc.ca.
