FELLNER, Elissa “Lisa” Carmel UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION

January 25, 1959 — March 9, 2023

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023 at 11:30 am, at Quails Gate Winery – Stewart Family Room, 3303 Boucherie Road, West Kelowna, BC

It’s with heavy hearts that we regretfully announce the sudden passing of our mother, Lisa Fellner, on March 9, 2023, at the age of 64 years young.

Lisa was born in Atikokan, Ontario to Walter and Connie Watson. She was raised in Kamloops, BC, along with her 6 brothers and sisters, until her high school graduation in 1977.

Lisa met her husband Bob in 1979 in Oliver, BC, and they married in 1980. Lisa completed her schooling to be a Register Nurse in 1982. Lisa was devoted as a RN for many years in the Okanagan area.

Lisa & Bob choose Peachland to live and raise their two children, Neil (born in 1990) and  Lauren (born in 1993). They stayed friends for 24yrs after divorcing, only rekindling their relationship in 2022. They were both happy with this companionship they shared together.

In addition to her nursing career, while raising her children, Lisa was a successful winemaker for many decades.  She often entered her wine in the Peachland Fall Fair, where she won many awards, which she was extremely proud of.

Lisa spent many hours in her garage, crushing, pressing, mixing and bottling wine. She enjoyed perfecting many different wine types, that were enjoyed over the years by family & friends.

Lisa was predeceased by her father, Walter Watson. She was survived by her friend & companion Bob; her children, son Neil (Megan) & daughter Lauren (Ryan); grandchildren Bailey, Oliver, Lane & Coby; in addition her mother Connie Watson; siblings Wendy (Larry), Derek, Laurie (Martin), Charles (Lori), Paul (Anna), & Arlene (Gino); and many nieces, nephews, & extended family.

Lisa will be sadly missed by family & friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honour to the Registered Nurses Foundation of BC.

  • Ella Brown says:

My sincere condolences go to all of Lisa’s family and friends. I grew up with Lisa in Rayleigh and appreciated her friendship. We were in youth group together and both played guitar. We often played for mass at Heffley Creek church.
Lisa was always in my heart. We could go for years without connecting then pick up where we left off. We recently reconnected with help of her sisters and that was fabulous. Lisa was doing well, shared many stories of her children, and was making new plans with Bob. For the short time we reconnected, it was a blessing. I appreciated being able to talk on the phone and write each other. A blessing I cherish.
    Big hugs to everyone.
