A friend and colleague for many years – we laughed, rode motorcycles, sailed and worked together. Deepest sympathy to Murielle, his children and grandchildren.
Sending my condolences to Phil’s family during this time. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.
My dear friend Phil, your absence will be felt. From our first meeting at his office in Burnaby, BC, I was impressed by his astute business acumen, which greatly contributed to the success of his business and demonstrated genuine care for his employees. We had numerous lunch meetings at Anatolia’s Restaurant, where he really enjoyed a favorite dish; bowl of Lentil soup. I still continue to visit this restaurant, which has now become a family favorite. Phil also introduced me to several other restaurants; he loved to explore and share stories.
Phil got me into the Fitbit craze, making me walk more. He loved checking our step counts and once beat me by walking around his house at 11pm. He was proud of his sneaky victory. Phil was a great friend and motivator, and I am grateful for the memories we shared. I extend my sincere condolences to the family. During this difficult time, please know that my thoughts are with you all. May you find comfort and strength in each other and in the memories you shared with your loved one.
My deepest sympathies to Phil’s family. My first job was working for Phil in Nelson and he had a profound effect on my business career. I will never forget the impact he made and I was fortunate to be able to tell him near the end.
