We Remember

FORSYTHE, Dale Charles
—
January 28, 1948 – September 10, 2020
Born on January 28, 1948 in Ashcroft, BC, Dr. Dale Forsythe passed away on September 10, 2020. Predeceased by his parents Marie (d. 2005) and Malcolm “Mac” (d. 2011), Dale is survived by his loving wife Melody; three children Craig (Dayna), Alison (Bryan), and Michael (Teresa); and two stepchildren Justin (Kelsey) and Jenelle (David); along with grandchildren Rowan, Aubrey, Ellis, Vincent, Hank, and Joseph.
Dad/Papa lived a very full life and was very grateful for all the friendships he made along the way. He also loved being able to give back to areas of life that he received enjoyment from. After earning his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1971 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON, Dale returned to his home town of Rutland, BC to enjoy a 47-year private practice. “Giving back” was a huge part of Dale’s life. His passion for the outdoors led him to organize the Kelowna Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Canada (RMEFC).
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. T. Sebulsky and staff, and all the wonderful and caring staff at Central Okanagan Hospice House.
There will be a private spreading of his remains next summer at his “favourite elk hunting camp”.

deepest sympathy to the family of Dale. As long time friends since school times Tony and I will remember the old stories of the outdoors, and long ago school days
Dale was a wonderful man. He was my neighbor and fellow school mate. He will be missed. My thoughts and condolences go out to all of his family .
Melody, So sorry for your loss. Condolences to you and your family.
It’s always difficult to find the right words to say at times but without any reservations Dale was a good friend and school mate. Even though our journeys separated us for some 40 years during our careers we were able to reunite many times during that period and more so when I returned to my home town. Dale was always willing to help with reunions and other social gatherings with our school mates. I was fortunate to spend some time with Dale at the Kelowna Hospice and during my last visit he was very thankful for the full life and adventures he accomplished. That conversation will always be with me. RIP my friend. Melody and family my sincere condolences.
We are so sorry to hear that Dale has passed. Even though you were preparing for this day. It is never easy. We enjoyed our chats with you and Dale at the BBQ when we would both be cooking our meals and drinking our wine. I’m sure he will be missed by many. He was an outstanding long time kelowna resident and a respected chiropractor. Our sympathy goes out to you and the family.
I was shocked to hear to-day of Dale’s passing. He was always such a nice man. Sometimes I would bump into him in the street during hunting season and we would enjoy reminiscing. We have not seen one another often since we met down on Bloor St., back in ’68, but each time it was a pleasure.. I offer my most sincere condolences to his family. I wish you all the strength needed to get past this very difficult time in your lives…… David Irwin
I appreciated Dr. Forsyth’s chiropractic care. I have his printed copy on my refrigerator re: neck exercises.. Melody, my condolences during this difficult time.
We would like to offer our condolences at this time and you are in our thoughts and prayers. And thank you for being part of our lives. I will never forget the fantastic time I had when Dale and I went elk hunting, he was very patient with me and taught me so much about horses and hunting in the mountains. I regard Dale as one of my best pals ever . Remember he may be gone but will always be in our hearts . Remember all the good times. Love always
