We Remember

FRASER, Joanne Rose

November 26, 1964 — May 22, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Joanne Rose Fraser, who passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the age of 61 years.

She is lovingly survived by her brother, Darin Glen Fraser; and extended family members, Jinny Yachabach, Lorraine Morris, and Bruce McCall. Joanne now goes to join her beloved parents, Maryanne Louise Fraser, who passed away on December 2, 2024, and Glen Fraser, who passed away on March 11, 2013.

Joanne grew up in Kelowna, where she developed the unique spirit and gentle nature that so many came to know and love. She had a very special joy about her, along with a caring heart that touched those around her in meaningful ways. Joanne had a remarkable ability to teach profound lessons through kindness, trust, and the simple gift of her presence.

Throughout her life, Joanne formed cherished relationships with her caregivers and members of her community, relationships that brought her comfort, hope, joy, and a deep sense of belonging. Those who worked alongside Joanne ensured she experienced a full and meaningful life, filled with care, compassion, and connection.

Joanne will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched, and her memory will be held close by those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends will each honour Joanne in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
