October 11, 1972 – August 12, 2021
Our beloved Heather Freeman, 48 years, of Kelowna, BC, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2021. Heather was born to the late Ian Fredrick Freeman & the late Joanne Sylvia Freeman on October 11, 1972.
A true people-person, Heather was smart, funny, and bubbly; she always had things to talk about. She loved all sports and her adventurous spirit took her outdoors often, especially fishing and camping.
She will be deeply missed by her children Andrew Brochu and Samantha Freeman, and her three grandchildren. Also left to treasure Heather’s memory are her siblings and their families: her brother Sydney of Kelowna, BC, and her nieces Sara Nymark-Freeman and WinterRose Violet Autumn, as well as Sara’s mother Tammy Nymark and Winter Rose’s mother Amber; her stepbrother Adrian Grootveld of Port Alberni, BC, and her nephew; her brother Robert (Susan) Freeman of Victoria, BC; and stepsister Melissa Campbell (Cory); stepbrothers Blake; stepbrother Travis; and stepbrother Doug and nephew Odin. Other family she leaves behind includes her stepmother Joanne Freeman; her uncle Guy Keats and family; her cousin Jessie Murphy of Nanaimo, BC; and more. She will also be remembered by family friends: Leo Stobbe and his family, Merak Scanlan & Talia Zapano; Cheryl & Henry Adair, Wolf Teatro; and loads more friends that she made throughout her life. As well, Heather leaves behind her fur baby, her dog Rosie. Rose was her life.
Heather will be dearly missed.
Heather’s family would like to pass along thank-yous to all the close friends who have supported them with kindness during this difficult time. They also want to thank Heath House Staff, CHMA, and her support worker.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Heather with Mark Scanlan officiating, due to the current pandemic it will be invitation only. The family would like to invite all who want to pay their respects to join by Livestream on FRIDAY, AUGUST 27, 2021, at 10:00 am PDT (see below).
