FRENCH, Joan Louise

— December 15, 2014

Joan Louise (nee Savin) passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 82. She is survived by her loving husband Howard Gordon of 62 years, her daughters: Jennifer (Paul) Stephenson of Kelowna, BC and Patricia (Bruce) Rintoul of Calgary AB: four grandchildren; Sarah and Brian Stephenson, Stuart and Alison Rintoul: two sisters; Shirley Hunt and Judy (Russ) Smye: two brothers; Richard (Patricia) Savin and Doug (Linda) Savin plus numerous nephews and nieces. Sadly predeceased by her brother-in-law Robert Hunt.

A Celebration of Life in Oakville ON will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC, Suite 307 – 1664 Richter Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 8N3

    So sorry to read about Joan in today’s paper. I go way back as a school chum of Joan, the same and a neighbour of Gord, and a working friend of Shirley. Think about the old days quite often at this age. My thoughts are with you at this time.
