We Remember
FRIESEN, Rudolf
—
On Sunday, July 21, 2019 Rudolf Friesen, of Kelowna, passed away peacefully at the age of 88.
Rudolf will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Agnes, their son Tobi (Debbie); his siblings Anita, Helen, and John; and extended family and friends.
Rudolf was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to Canada. He made his home in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he learned to be a Carpenter.
After marrying Agnes, they continued to live in Winnipeg and then in the early 1970’s the family moved to the Okanagan first settling in Kelowna and then moving to Summerland to own an orchard. In the 1980’s the family moved back to Kelowna where they stayed until they retired. Retirement was filled with days of gardening and building carpentry projects.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
I have happy memories helping Uncle Rudy and Aunt Agnes at the Summerland orchard. Allen and I send our deepest sympathies to Aunt Agnes’s, Tobi and Debbie.

Tobi &Debbie, I am so sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad. Knowing what a wonderful son he had tells me he must have been a great person and father. Take care of yourselves and your mom during this very sad time. Hugs to you my friends, Gina and family.
