FRY, Theresa Catherine “Tessa”

Passed away on Tuesday, September 29th, 2015 at the age of 68.  Survived by her loving husband John; three children, Greg, Cathy, Paula; grandchildren: Anthony, Zachary, Taryn, Devon, Sam, Matthew; great grandchildren: Makaila, Maddilyn; brother Nigel, sister Fiona both of England as well as numerous other relatives from England.  Tessa was raised in Skegness, England and carried fond memories of “Skeggy” with her when she immigrated to Canada in 1975 and through the balance of her life.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation, #4 0 1551 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, BC V1Y 9M9.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

    to John and Tessa’s family…I was so saddened to hear of Tessa’s passing..she was such a fighter it is hard to believe she is gone. Tessa has been my hair dresser and friend since l998, I will miss her smile and English accent so much….she was always so upbeat even when going thru her health problems…my condolences to all of you…Dorothy

    Dear John and family, So sorry to read of Tessa,s passing, she was a beautiful person always cheerful when she came out to the farm with the dog, ever thoughtful of others when she brought back breadsauce and other English goodies after a visit to Skeggy. Keep cheerful John she was one of Britains finest.. Peter/Pat.

    So sorry to hear of the passing of Tessa. I knew Tessa in the 70’s/80’s when we came to this part of Canada after emigrating from the U.K. She was a lovely person and a brilliant hairdresser, she always made each client feel “special”. She moved to Kelowna and I heard that she was happy living there with her new partner. Tessa always looked “a million dollars” with her dress and style. I will remember her smile and her friendship with affection. Rest in peace Tessa… from Pat Pryce.

    I am so saddened that Tessa has passed away. She was such a wonderful lady and excellent hairdresser. I have known Tessa since her Port Coquitlam days and always enjoyed our chats as she did my hair. We had several lunch dates that were always wonderful. I will miss her. She fought a good fight with her health. Take care, Shirley

    Tessa has been my hairdresser for many years, and she always did a great job.
    I am very saddened by her passing, and pass along my sympathy to her family. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed.

    Tessa – I met her as an excellent hairdresser, and we knew her as a friend. She was truly a very nice and loving person, who dealt bravely with continuing health conditions. To John and her family who she loved so much we send our heartfelt sympathies.

Selfless with her time and many talents nothing was ever insurmountable for Tessa. We will miss her and wish you, her family peace through all the wonderful memories shared.     Dear John and family,
    Jamie and I were so sorry to hear of Tessa’s passing- she fought hard for so long. We were friends and neighbours up at Gallaghers and Tessa always gave the best haircuts to both Jamie and I when she had her shop in her houses and also downtown. She had such a sunny personality and I loved doing lunch with her- at your lovely home too, John. She was so happy in her life with you. It’s not fair that she should be taken so early. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
