We Remember
GAMBLE, Harold “Hal”
May 10, 1949 — March 19, 2024
We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of Harold Lawrence Gamble, who passed away unexpectedly in Kelowna, BC, at the age of 74.
Hal goes to join those who went before him, including his first wife Hilary; mother Erika; father George; brother Gordon; and grandmother Omi. Left to hold him dear in their hearts is his loving partner of 12 years, Edie; sister Patricia (Bobby); niece Elisa (Alessio); great-nephew Francesco; sister-in-law Joy St. John; nieces Michelle (Brian) and Danielle (Trevor); nephews Ben, Jake, Colburn, and Evan; and his beloved cat Lily.
Hal was the epitome of ‘the car guy’, immaculate in his persona with a particular attention to detail that made him a force to be reckoned with in the industry. A ‘straight up guy’, ‘For Sure’, along with his other phrases like “see you later when your hair’s straighter” will be fondly remembered with smiles forever, as will be his unforgettable storytelling.
Hal was renowned for his impeccable hair and sense of style grounded in the suave vibes of the ’60s. He had a down-to-earth side, finding enjoyment in swimming, long walks, R & B and old movies. He loved animals, had a gentle nature and a generous heart.
He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
Family and friends will each honour Hal in their own ways. No formal service will be held.

I will remember Hal with a smile for I considered him a friend. We met many years ago at a Club we both belonged to and carried on our friendship outside of the Club. We both loved swimming and the promise of a top-rated steam room in Tsawwassen aquatic centre resulted in a Tuesday/Thursday car pooling adventure where we solved every problem known to man. Hal moved to the Okanagan and about a year later I relocated to West Kelowna. The lure of the local pool brought us together again for a couple of years. We may not have hung out or even talked for long periods of time but when we connected it was like the old days – we were both a little older, a lot greyer but still held a friendship bond. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.
There are no words that I could say to express the loss of Hal(my forever daddio) we just had our own understanding and place in our hearts. Always there for each other and just got each other. I will hold in my heart our last moments together forever and ever. I love you Daddio and you will always have my heart with you and momma Edie I will always be here for her. We miss you and love you forever ❤️❤️❤️
Hal was such an incredible person. He had a remarkable taste of music, & was everything and more to his dear wife Edie.
You will be deeply missed. Hal, May you rest in peace ❤️
Tho I only knew Hal a short amount of time, he quickly gained a spot in my heart. He will forever hold that spot for I will cherish every song and piece of artwork he showed me, every story he told so uniquely his own, and the countless meals we shared with his beautiful Edie. I love you both so much. Hal truly was an incredible man. I just know he’s swimming all the laps he can now. Rest in peace Hal 💗
