We Remember
GAUCHER, Gregoire Elide
July 28, 1959 — April 28, 2022
“Don’t put Gregoire Elide, just put Greg… and don’t make it sappy.”
Honoring that, here are a few words to describe Greg: a loving and faithful husband, devoted son, caring brother, U of S graduate, Engineer, great dancer, dirt bike enthusiast, inventor, entrepreneur, creative, quiet, deep thinker, logical, straight forward, perfectionist, sharp witted, intelligent, handyman, problem solver, high work ethic, loyal friend, generous of time, and Monica’s forever true love.
Greg fought hard, but lost the battle with metastatic melanoma. He was predeceased by his mother, Elise. He is survived by his wife Monica, his father Roland, his brother Brian and sister-in-law Charlene, and his brother Jordan and sister-in-law Kim.
In lieu of flowers, have a backyard BBQ to remember all those no longer with us. Donations may also be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on FRIDAY, MAY 13, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. His final resting place will be the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery Scattering Trail, 1991 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC.

We feel for your loss.
Our sincere condolences from Andrew, Marissa, Rebecca, Isaac, Rose and Grant Gaucher.
We are away at Marissa’s wedding when the funeral arrives. Our apologies for missing. Our thoughts are with you and the family during this time.
There should be no despair for you
While nightly stars are burning,
While evening pours its silent dew
And sunshine gilds the morning.
There should be no despair – though tears
May flow down like a river:
Are not the best beloved of years
Around your heart forever?
They weep – you weep – it must be so;
Winds sigh as you are sighing,
And Winter sheds his grief in snow
Where Autumn’s leaves are lying:
Yet these revive, and from their fate
Your fate cannot be parted,
Then journey on, if not elate,
Still, never broken-hearted!

I have many fond memories with Greg… vacationing in Kelowna, dirt biking in Redwater, cruising highways in the LeMans, and many family family gatherings.
Greg’s smiling face has been imprinted upon my mind and he will always be remembered.
Love to all,
Edward
