We Remember
GAWNE, Ryan “Gonzo”
—
April 7, 1975 – October 18, 2019
It is with a heavy heart our family announces the passing of our son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
Survived by and missing him deeply his parents Larry and Darby, brother Jason, sister in law Kim, his nephews Palmer and Knox and his niece Nico. He adored those kids and loved to spoil them.
Mourning his loss are his aunts and uncles, Dallas and Randy, Linda and Wayne, Joe, Randy and Lorel, Val and Bill, Dale and his cousins Karrie, Kailee, James, Lindsay, Luke, Andrew, Danielle, Colby, Kara and many many friends.
Ryan was born in Revelstoke and shortly after we moved to the Rutland area where he grew up and made lifelong friends. He graduated with honours from RSS and then went on to BCIT. He returned home to start working in his family’s business as an estimator.
Ryan was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved golf, skiing and watching sports of any type, especially his Canucks. One of his favorite T-shirts said, “To heck with summer, drop the puck”.
To all that knew Ryan his sense of humor, laugh and his kindness of heart meant the world.
Ryan is also survived by his three fur babies, Chani, Teg and Gurney. With his love of animals, we would in lieu of flowers, appreciate a donation to the SPCA in his name.
Our family would like to express their deepest gratitude for all the loving messages and offers of support shown to all of us at this time.
“He is living in the hearts of those he left behind”

So sorry for your loss. I’ve known Ryan since the Black Mountain days in grade 1. Lots of good memories. He will be missed by so many.
I’m so very sorry for your loss of Ryan. I played an online game with Ryan for more than 10 years on and off. I know it sounds dumb but there are many of us who felt we knew him through hours and hours of playing together. We weren’t ever even in the same country, but we were family and it just won’t be the same without him. I’m so sad and so sorry for y’all.
Larry and Darby, my sincere condolences for your loss, thoughts and prayers for you. stay strong my friend.
